Look to the stars; your map is there.
On May 18th we have an extremely powerful Full Moon in Scorpio which is in the last degrees and changes into Sagittarius that same day. This is a time of alchemy and transforming shadows into light. We can take something negative and transform it into a positive. The Full Moon illuminates on our repressed feelings, secrets, and urges us to clear out those skeletons in our inner closets that are cause to the toxicity within ourselves. This is the best time of the year to fully let go of the things which no longer serve us, or outdated defense mechanisms which now serve as blockages.
Scorpio is the alchemist of the Zodiac and brings the power of transmutation and transformation into our lives. If you have been wanting to take part in a journey into shadow work or understanding the things that go bump in the night, then this Full Moon promises the perfect and most opportune time to do so.
The Full Moon offers a release and promises rejuvenation and rebirth to follow. It is time to lay to rest those things which no longer serve us, and to take a deeper look at our inner reflection, so to bring that gift of alchemy into work, and to use it towards our advantage.
CArd Pull for the Full Moon in Scorpio
King of Wands | ᛉ Elhaz ᛉ | V The Hierophant
Cards are from the Moonchild Tarot and the Viking Oracle
Elhaz, or Algiz, is one of the most protective runes and promises divine protection from those who seek to steal from you – either physically, or creatively. The Full Moon is illuminating on not only what we need to mend from within that steals from our higher purpose or inner joy, but also those around us, as our personal relationships as serve as mirrors which represent things from within that need to be acknowledged – both good and bad.
The King of Wands says it is time to start acting and responding honorably, and to be the very best version of ourselves possible. To be authentic in what our intentions are for others. While we cannot control or always predict the intentions of others, we can control and counteract them with our own. Meaning that you do not have to play in the same murky waters as others who seek out to harm you or bring you down. Rise above it, and even if you cannot lead them to be a better version of themselves, you can lead by example by doing that for yourself.
The Hierophant backs up that meaning with divine intervention and influence.
Both the King of Wands and Hierophant represent patriarchal energies, which are not negative or overly dominant, as these cards are not reversed. This is the sacred masculine, striving to be the best it can be by protecting the feminine and leading them to a life which is more stable, secure, and also offering a safe space to work their magic. This is the true exchange in power – where the feminine is creative and nurtures, and the masculine protects and is ordered/structured.
While these can represent our personal relationships, these energies also reside within us as we are both masculine and feminine – encompassing both polarities. When they are imbalanced is when things go array and problems arise, but when they are balanced, is when we are in our full power.

Choose a New Direction
The Scorpio Full Moon is redirecting you to a different path that correlates with your higher purpose. However, this does not come about easily and may stem from a rather harsh rude awakening or realizing a deeper truth about yourself and your true desires. You may come to realize that an old behavior was in result from a wound that you have been running away from. There is no more running away, Aries, facing your shadow will allow for you to bring the light back into your life.
Go the Time is Right
You feel it in your bones that you need to move forward, and yet you stand still in fear for what the effects will be. You might still be integrating the energies from the New Moon on letting go, but the Full Moon says now is the time to strike. You have been dealing with quite a bit of stress, and there are resolutions available, you just have to start implementing them, no matter how hard it is to step outside of that comfort zone. Go forward, Taurus, the time is right.
Listen to Your Intuition
You feel a loud call from within that you need to follow your heart, and nothing else will satisfy unless you do. The Full Moon spikes the urge to go within, and to reconnect with your soul. You will come to find that once you do, a lot of your misery is stemming from you convincing yourself that you are happy with the way things are going, but truly you are unsatisfied and need more depth. The Full Moon pushes you to find more soulful connections.
Listen to Your Intuition
You feel in your gut an inner call, and the Full Moon will not let you escape it. You want more depth with the work you do and feel that if you continue to settle for something that is more superficial than soulful, then you won’t ever be satisfied. Listen, Cancer, your intuition is telling you something important, and by listening, you will be led to your next big step in cultivating more happiness in your daily life.
No Need to Worry
Everything will be okay, Leo. You may be worried about your finances or perhaps your romantic partnership – you are concerned that things aren’t going the way they should be, or that you are living beyond your means and will face a pitfall. These are just figments of your own imagination that is being fueled by your anxiety. Rest your heart and your head, everything is going to be okay. You were given a sign during the New Moon and shown the correct pathway to take, so as long as you have been following that, you should be perfectly fine and do not need to worry.
Even though you are prepped and prepared, it seems that the outcome you want, isn’t in the cards for you this Full Moon. You might have miscalculated an important step, or perhaps you are forcing things to go along the way you want them to, without paying closer attention the minor details. You may still be stuck in the same rut that you were during the New Moon a few weeks back. The only way to go around this is to pause and come up with a new plan.
No Need to Worry
Relax, Libra, everything is going to be okay. You are right where you need to be, even if you feel that you need to be much further than you are already, you will get there soon. Your perspective is focused on lack and thinking the grass is greener on the other side – newsflash – it is greener where you water it. Stop worrying your pretty little head about things that you have no control over, and just do what you can, and you should be fine.
The Full Moon may trigger you to start digging deep, Scorpio. You might have parts of yourself closed off because of past hurts, or you harbor a little bit of resentment. Its time to reconsider the habits and subconscious thoughts that you are allowing to keep you within a cycle you are desperately trying to fight your way out of.
Go the Time is Right
An opportunity arises with the Full Moon. Since you have stopped investing so much energy into people or ventures that only drained you, and have restored your own soul, you are now ready to receive wonderfulness from the Universe as it itches to bestow abundance into your life. Go, Sagittarius, the time is right for something wonderful to be had.
You might have had plans in the past, but the timing wasn’t right, and so the Full Moon asks that you reconsider these now. There is something wonderful coming into your life, and while it does seem a little far-fetched, the rewards are going to be something well-deserved, earned, and will take you to far more places than you could have dreamed of going. Take that big step, Capricorn, after reconsidering your plans from the past.
The Full Moon comes down on you like a hammer. You might have lived beyond your means in the past, and so the Full Moon takes away something that you don’t want to part with, but may not have a choice because you do not have the resources or means to keep it any longer. Let go, Aquarius, you will find more peace in the freedom that comes with not fighting the elements at play.
Oh Pisces, when you are involved with someone, you only see their light, and cast aside the red flags and ignore their darkness. However, you can no longer do this because their darkness is starting to dim your own inner light now. The Full Moon illuminates your light, which in turn allows for you to see someone for who they truly are and gives you the strength to finally do the hardest thing you have done in a while, to let go.
