WE LIVE UNDER THE SUN & DREAM UNDER THE MOON
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.
- Martin Luther King, Jr.
The World is a crazy place right now, and this build-up of aggression is thanks to the Aries Full Moon which is full of Mars energy that is impatient and restless. It is much easier to make war, than it is to make peace. However, thankfully the sun falls under Venus-ruled Libra which begs to compromise for the sake of peace.
Also, because the Sun has such a strong Venus influence, it amplifies the energies from whatever placement it is in – which happens to be Virgo. While Virgo does in a sense fall from grace while in Venus, because the two don’t get along as Virgo is a no-nonsense sign that prefers the facts over romanticism, we can thank the inspiration it sends us to look deeper into the things that lash out at us, before we take action. So, while aggression and impulsiveness is, we are given more common sense than being blinded with passion.
With all of the recent events in the World, it is so easy to point fingers and find someone to blame for the misfortunes we all face. When we play the victim, then we will continually attract things to make us feel victimized. It’s all about perspective, with how you see things. It is easy to wage war, and so much harder to stand for peace. However, when you consider the end-result you want, which is harmony, then you have to rethink your motives on how to get there.
Libra inspires us to see things from both sides of the coin, and Aries gives us the energy to act upon our decisions. This is a great time to take action, and to really fuel your goals or ambitions. This is a Moon for clearing blockages and for things to come into fruition. Those who have been seeking results, you may get them, or at least a peak of what is to come from your efforts. A Libra Sun and Aries Moon is much like beauty and the beast – where the beast is tempered by the grace and love of the beauty. If not channeled right, or if you do not balance your self-awareness, then this energy can be rather damaging.
Another great influence this energy bestows upon is the ability to branch out of the normal structures of society, or even within yourself, that are too conflicting, or restricting, and to speak out about corruptions. The ability to see the other side, or to uncover hidden secrets (thanks to Jupiter moving in Scorpio on 10/10, we can use this energy to swim the deepest depths), and find the courage to speak up, and to persuade others to see your point. We have the confidence to speak, and the grace to attract others with our words. This is a wonderful Moon for artist and entrepreneurs.
What I feel most from this Moon is the Goddess Minerva, or known as Athena in her Greek form. She governs society, positions, and diplomacy. The Greeks had named Athens, their capital, after her and dedicated the city to her. She is the voice of the people, and rules over cosmic order. She is usually pictured holding scales, which is also the symbol for Libra. Many would come to her temple seeking justice, or to plan strategies for an affective battle plan when going into war. Many heroes would call onto her as well, when they needed help in saving their people from destruction. She gave Perseus her shield when he killed Medusa, a Gorgon who would turn men to stone with her deathly stare.
As her brother Aries rules over War, she ruled beside him, only she governed the mental aspects of it, rather than the physical. So, with these energies combined, we can count on effective movement in obtaining the results we desire.
The best rituals, or meditations, to perform under this Full Moon energy are: Love, Money, Peace, Justice/Legal Matters.
