WE LIVE UNDER THE SUN & DREAM UNDER THE MOON
The Moon comes home to its Native Sign Cancer to grace us with some much-needed TLC, as Cancer is the caretaker of the zodiac – sacrificing its own needs for the benefit and well-being of others.
Luckily, we have the Sun, Moon, Mars and Mercury all joining in on the Cancer train entering the Seventh House of Partnerships. And so, while this sign governs our immediate environment within the home, this energy will spread out into our closest relationships as well. We may feel clingier than usual, needing that extra sense of validation within our place with others, especially in how they see us. As Cancer is in an incredibly intuitive sign, as well as it's natural ruler the Moon governing psychic ability, the sub conscious, and dreams, we will feel even more empathetic than usual within our relationships. We can tap into the feelings of others – sensing their thoughts and often reacting to what we know they feel, and not what they express. We will go by what we feel, rather than what we know, and even if we are overcome with emotional extremes, there is some sense of sub conscious understanding in the method behind our own madness. What you suppress will be asking to be released, depending on your relationships with others, as well as yourself, will dictate how this flow of emotion will go. The energy is rather sensitive, spiking our vulnerabilities and intuition within the realm of our emotions. Cancer Moon behaves in many ways – all depending on the emotional responses that are triggered by the environment. We want to feel close, safe, needed, and we want to feel loved, and if that is not available within our relationships or surroundings, then we make waves, either lashing out and making our point heard, or quietly until each small wave builds up the empowering force to influence the changes we need. Relationships may be overcome with a heaviness of possessive and protective energy – your hunches are emotionally charged, and while Cancer is a very psychic sign, it often confuses its intuition with emotional reactions, especially when it's sense of security in in questions, or vulnerabilities are exposed. Before coming unglued because jealousy strikes in your relationships, or issues stir up within your home, try and sit for a moment to reflect on what you are feeling. With the karmic and soul planets in retrograde (Saturn, Neptune & Pluto), we can dive even deeper into our own unconsciousness and the hidden realms that lie within us. The New Moon compliments these planetary energies with asking very important questions in concern of self, home, and your relationships: How well do you take care of yourself, spiritually and emotionally? Are you honoring your feelings, and being authentic in your emotional expression? Do others honor your emotions and respect your boundaries? Regardless of your answer, the time is just right to facilitate the gifts this New Moon brings you in applying change in the areas that need improvement. The New Moon is a time to start new projects, adopt new perspectives, and to of course let go of what is weighing you down from your artistic, intuitive, emotional and loving expression. Cancer retreats to its home where it can feel safe and comforted within familiar or soul-soothing surroundings – and the New Moon wants to ensure that you adapt these Cancerian qualities into your relationships, emotional well-being, and your home, so you can feel safe to come out and share your love, gifts and talents with the World. |
